T.F. began his musical career playing guitar and singing with the band Misunderstood.
 
After graduation from high school and moving to Greensboro , NC he played with the band Chocolate Funk sharing the stage with famed bands, The Ohio Players, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Isley Brothers and Confunkshion. Tom recorded with country music’s Gwen Biddix in conjunction with the late Archie Campbell of Hee-Haw.
 
In the 70’s Tom traveled throughout the southeast with the band Instant Replay. As a co-founder of the Central Park Band, the group recorded 6 original hits. Tom wrote, recorded and released the originals “You Don’t Know” and “Parda'”.
